How GPS works - The most important part of GPS navigation systems is some satellites that are in Earth's orbit or which we often call in space. GPS satellites currently number 24 units, all of which can transmit signals to the earth which can then be captured by the signal receiver or GPS Tracker. Apart from satellites, there are 2 other systems that are interconnected, so there are 3 important parts in the GPS system. The three parts consist of: GPS Control Segment (Control Section), GPS Space Segment (space part), and GPS User Segment (user section).
